Internationally known as one of America’s most respected horse trainers, Charles Wilhelm has a background of over thirty-five years of training. He is one of the few trainers specializing in re-schooling horses with often severe issues. He believes that “It’s Never, Ever the Horse’s Fault” and his training methods reflect that belief. Wilhelm says, "In over 20 years of horse training and competition, I have concluded that there are no problem horses - only uneducated horses (and handlers). All horses are trainable; all horses are salvageable."

He believes in "success through knowledge" in which, the owner should learn alongside the horse. Wilhelm focuses his training on condition and response and targets three critical areas: the horse’s physical, mental and emotional state. He trains and works with all disciplines, linking the connection between horse and rider and combining natural horsemanship with classical training.

He performs clinics and demonstrations at national and regional venues and has been featured on TV and in many articles. Wilhelm also writes monthly columns for Riding Magazine, Ride! Magazine, Northwest Rider, U.S. Horse Market and Thoroughbred Digest, as well as writing his own books, "Building Your Dream Horse" and "Starting Baby Jaz".
